Basic Function
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care at Ikire Mercy Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Requirements
- Academic: Minimum academic qualification of Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
- Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience.
- Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computer
- Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the relevant professional body.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the Pharmacists in preparing and giving out prescribed medications
- Take doctor’s prescription for patients
- Answering prescription-related questions
- Educating patients and caregivers on the appropriate use of medication, including frequency and method of intake or application.
- Helping patients purchase their prescriptions.
- Referring patients to the pharmacist for more in-depth medical questions related to prescriptions.
- Assist in managing Pharmacy inventory.
- Processing medical insurance claims.
- Ensuring medications are properly stored.
- Filling and labeling of medical containers.
- Maintaining of sufficient stock of all needed medications.
- Checking the quality and the sources of drugs before dispensing
- To ensure and adhere to standard pharmacy safety measures and checks, etc.
